Natural hazards are becoming disasters at an alarming rate due to climate change and human activities. How can society prepare better to reduce risks and respond effectively? One essential step is understanding how gender roles and stereotypes shape vulnerability, especially for women and girls who often face greater risks and barriers, and using that understanding to be better prepared.
This webinar will empower activists and civil society organisations in the Eastern Partnership region to:
  • Understand the impacts of climate change through a gender lens.
  • Gain practical insights into gender-sensitive disaster risk reduction, with examples from Georgia.

Webinar Speakers:
  • Ana Mosiashvili is a human rights specialist with 10 years of experience, currently working as a Research and Programme Officer at the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD). A passionate advocate for gender equality, Ana’s expertise bridges the intersections of climate change, disasters, and human rights.
