TESIM, the support team assisting cross-border cooperation between organisations in countries in and around the European Union, has produced a series of video tutorials covering 7 steps for successful Project Development.
The videos were not produced for CSOs in the Eastern Partnership, however, they contain clear, generic advice that can be effectively followed by any CSO looking to develop a project proposal.
Each video is 10 minutes or less in duration. Before watching the videos, we suggest you read our advice and tips below.
Making the most of the TESIM video tutorials on Project Development
Understand the terminology and context referred to in the video:
Cross Border Cooperation Programme – the EU supports collaborative projects between organisations in locations across borders in adjacent countries. The objective of the programme is to strengthen inter-regional cooperation, contribute to reduction in differences in living standards between regions and addressing common challenges. Most of the countries in the Eastern Partnership region have locations adjacent to the EU, and also benefit from other programmes that promote cooperation between the countries. Thus, knowing how to develop partnerships for collaborative actions is highly valuable.
Developing a Project – there are 7 video tutorials aimed at organisations interested in developing projects specifically for funding from the EU’s Cross Border Cooperation Programme. The project example used in the videos relates to the environment. However, the approach, knowledge, and skills explained in the videos are relevant to the development of any project proposal in any sector in any country. They involve 7 steps:
- Problem Analysis
- Stakeholder Analysis
- Objective Analysis
- Strategy Analysis
- Project Intervention
- Assumptions
